It is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you on behalf of our dedicated and dynamic members. Whether you are learning about our chapter for the first time, seeking opportunities to partner with us, or looking for a Delta chapter to call home, we are grateful you are here.
Founded on January 13, 1913, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. For more than a century, our Sorority has empowered communities, cultivated leaders, and advanced meaningful change while remaining steadfast in the vision of our Twenty-Two Founders.
Since our chartering in 1961, the St. Petersburg Alumnae Chapter has proudly served the St. Petersburg community with purpose, compassion, and excellence. The legacy established by the trailblazing Sorors before us continues to inspire our work today, reminding us that every generation has the opportunity—and the responsibility—to leave the community stronger than we found it.
As we enter the 2026–2028 biennium, we embrace the theme: Together, We Bloom: Rooted in Legacy. Rising in Unity. Leading with Impact.
Blooming is not simply about growth—it is about cultivating the best of who we are together. We honor the rich legacy that anchors our chapter, strengthen the bonds of unity that connect us, and intentionally lead with purpose to create lasting impact throughout our community.
Together, we will continue to build a chapter where every Soror is valued, every voice is heard, every talent is celebrated, and every act of service contributes to a greater collective purpose. Through collaboration, innovation, and authentic sisterhood, we will continue expanding our reach while remaining grounded in the principles that have guided Delta Sigma Theta for generations.
Our work is carried out through Delta Sigma Theta’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

These initiatives allow us to partner with organizations, leaders, and community members who share our commitment to creating opportunities, addressing critical needs, and empowering future generations.
